Do you have a regular morning or afternoon free to dedicate to your local community?
Are you physically fit?
Do you have a love of books and reading?
We are seeking volunteers to help with our community collections. You would be selecting books from a profile, issuing them on the self service machine and packing them ready for delivery. The Community Collections volunteer packs up books for delivery to people who are unable to come to the library. Some are individuals for whom about 10 books are chosen of a type they have said they would like to read. Others live in residential homes in which case up to 100 books will be chosen. The volunteer will use the library’s on line database to choose suitable books .
