Bromsgrove and Redditch Open Spaces

Flyer cover

Bromsgrove and Redditch Open Spaces (BROS) is a new initiative that’s trying to bring together anyone who has an interest in the open spaces of Bromsgrove and Redditch.

Open spaces are anything from country parks to allotments, nature reserves to community gardens, pathways to playing fields. We want to create a network where groups can help each other, volunteers want to get involved, and young people can get excited about the outdoors.

We would like to hear from

  • Groups of any size, from established charities to small groups of local people, who care about their local environment and want to be connected to a larger network
  • Individuals that would like to volunteer, but don’t know where to start
  • Organisations such as businesses and schools that would like to get more involved in their open spaces by working together or volunteering
  • Anyone who looks after communal or shared spaces. This could be a churchyard, a small plot in a housing estate, a school with a green area.

The hope is that together we will be able to make a real difference. Groups will be able to share their experience, volunteers can find out where they are needed, and together we could raise money and bid for funding. You can download a flyer here.

BROS is being hosted by Bromsgrove and Redditch Network. If you would like to find out more about BROS or be added to the email list please let us know at bros@barn.org.uk.

Last year we ran a project called Green Redditch thanks to funding from Redditch Borough Council. Find out more here.
