Woodrow Community Corner
Description of the role
We’ll be taking over the running of this fantastic community venue, and we need your help.
We are looking for members and volunteers to join the committee to help organise and run the venue.
We are looking for people who are:
- Community driven.
- Dedicated
- Friendly
- Can work in a team, but also must be able to use their own initiative
Experience with fundraising, budgeting, event planning or running a venue would be a bonus, but enthusiasm and commitment are more important!
Practical Considerations
- Committee members will be required to attend regular meetings (currently weekly), and take a role in the running of the venue where possible.
- You must be 18 or over to join the committee, but there will be opportunities to volunteer for younger people.
Any specific requirements
Knowledge and experience of the Woodrow community would really help. Living locally would be even better!

When is the opportunity available?
Meeting times vary, according to availability of the committee. The venue will be open all week, depending on bookings, but roles can be allocated according to people’s availability.
About the organisation
The Woodrow Community Centre Group is a new community-led group that will be running the Community Centre (also known as the Meeting Rooms). We are all volunteers, and we want to make sure the Centre is run for the benefit of the community
