Description of the role
The role of Companion Line Volunteer is to provide a weekly telephone call to an older person who is feeling lonely or isolated. The telephone call is for a friendly chat, as well as to give information and support to enable the older person to make more connections in their local area.
We are looking for a volunteer who is:
- A good listener
- Patient
- Friendly
- Sensitive
- Reliable
