Description of the role
Become an Independent Visitor and spend time with a young person who is in care. Often young people in care do not have a trusted adult in their life who is not paid to spend time with them. Please consider giving a couple of hours a month to befriend a young person who is in care to build a trusting relationship whilst doing fun activities.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
- Patient
- Enthusiastic
- Friendly
- A good communicator
- Able to commit to a visit monthly for 2 years
Practical Considerations
Full training provided, DBS and references required. Activity and travel expenses paid.
Any specific requirements
- References required
- DBS check required
- Own a computer or have secure access to one
- Must be 18+
Where is the opportunity based?
This opportunity is community based, so opportunities will be within Worcestershire communities.
When is the opportunity available?
It will be flexible weekdays and weekends.
