Redditch Life Drawing

Description of the role
Models needed for developing life drawing sessions in Redditch.
All body types welcome and experience is not necessary, though you must have some idea of how long you can hold each pose for.
The sessions are held in private rooms at venues in Redditch. Classes are intimate and varied so artistic license and use of costumes and props is encouraged. We like our models to express their own creativity and assert their own boundaries. No nudity is required, we have also had costumed sessions.
Events are open to all age 18+ regardless of artistic ability, though our guests are often creative enthusiasts. Sessions take place in the evening on the second Wednesday of the month.
The role will involve modelling for a group of artists, providing several poses lasting differing lengths of time.
We are looking for:
- A clean, punctual, friendly person who has an interest in art
- Dancers and fitness enthusiasts are brilliant due to their strong core
- Applicants must have an idea of how long they can hold each pose and be able to listen to their body if they are starting to struggle with a pose
Practical Considerations
This opportunity is open to anybody, however, it may be important that we know if something may cause an issue for a model (if they use a wheelchair for example) as we can use different venues.

About the organisation
We are open to people 18+ of all artistic abilities. The intention isn’t to create something “perfect” or profitable. Art is good for the soul, simply taking part and having some time to reap the benefits that art can bring to your wellbeing is more than enough reason. We believe that all humans are creative, and that art is therapeutic.
We often have people come along who are new and haven’t done any art since school! They usually always surprise themselves with the quality of work they create and the positive feelings they gained from attending.
