  • To seek engagement with customers to encourage them to make the most of Library & Learning services.
  • To carry out a range of routine tasks to support customer service including dealing with customer enquiries, shelving & shelf tidying and taking payments.

This role requires:

  • Community focus and a strong desire to play a significant role as part of a community group of volunteers to support local people in accessing library services.
  • A friendly, welcoming approach to customers and a commitment to ensuring that they have a positive experience of Hagley Library.
  • Confidence to approach and engage with customers.

We welcome volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and with a variety of experience. No particular qualifications are required.  We recognise that volunteers are likely to have other time commitments and may only have small amounts of time available, but if you can offer a regular commitment of your time, no matter how short, it can be of real value to the Library.
