Description of the role
We need a volunteer for our English Conversational Group, held every Wednesday at Redditch Library from 2:30pm.
If you are chatty, patient and love to meet people from different cultures, this role is perfect for you!
Join our other volunteers at our English Conversational Group where you will keep the conversation flowing and encourage non-native speakers to improve and practice their English.
Keep the conversation flowing using conversation cards, games and quizzes. Read through activities with customers and help them work their way through activities provided by library staff. Help customers get more and more confident with their English speaking skills by helping them with the correct pronunciations, definitions and when to use words.
We are looking for someone:
- Someone who is chatty, friendly and patient. No need to know any other languages, this group is all about developing customers English speaking skills!
Practical Considerations
- No need for any experience or qualifications for this role and any accessibility adaptations that may need to be made can be discussed with the staff member who leads on the conversational group.
