Redditch Dial a Ride (Provided by Redditch Borough Council)
Description of the role
Provide support and help to customers using Dial a Ride to and from their property and destination.
You will also need to assist the driver to ensure customers are safe and secure whilst using the service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To escort customers safely to and from the Dial a Ride vehicle
- Safe operation of the sidestep and handrails.
- To make sure customers are secure in their seat and ready to travel.
- To check with customers about future trips they require
- To interact with passengers, paying attention to their appearance and overall
- wellbeing.
- To report any wellbeing or Health and Safety concerns or Safeguarding issues.
- To collect fares to be given to the drivers.
- Attend team meetings and training as required
Practical Considerations
Dial A Ride job is a physical Job as you would be frequently getting on and off the bus to assist passengers.
Any specific requirements
- Must be 18 or over
- Require a Criminal Record Check (DBS).
