Description of the role
A new and exciting volunteer opportunity has arisen within our Retail Team based at our High Street Charity Shop (Bromsgrove)
If you enjoy selling online and have a keen eye for spotting something unique, then you could help support the development of our Online Sales & Distribution Centre located at our Bromsgrove store, helping raise valuable funds to support our local work providing support and services for older people aged 50+ living in North Worcestershire
Purpose of Role:
As an Online Sales Volunteer you will be providing invaluable support for the operation of our Online Sales & Distribution Hub. There are a range of different ways you can get involved including;
- Sorting donations
- Taking photographs of donated items
- Support researching items, entering and uploading products online
- Preparing orders for collection or posting
- Responding to enquiries (both by telephone and online)
This role might be right for you if you:
- Are happy to participate as part of a team and can work independently
- Have an interest in online retailing, retail trends and/ or social media
- Are able to commit your time for at least three hours a week
- Associate with Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch & Wyre Forest’s values and mission
Practical Considerations
We will make sure that you receive appropriate training for the role and that you have the support of a member of staff. We will also cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses for volunteers but ideally we are seeking people that are local to the High Street Shop.
