Description of the role

Do you love meeting new people and having fun? We need enthusiastic volunteers to help us with our fundraising activities and to attend fundraising events. All funds raised go towards supporting local young people who are in crisis.

Duties include:

  • Arranging and attending bucket collections
  • Preparing displays and information stands.
  • Attending events, including evenings and weekends.
  • Distributing and collecting collection boxes from local businesses
  • Ensuring donors are thanked.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about supporting young people by engaging with the local community to promote the cause. Having the confidence and communication skills to network with a diverse range of people would be advantageous.

Practical Considerations

Travel expenses can be claimed.

  • Will require references
  • Will require criminal record check
  • Own vehicle or access to vehicle
  • Driving licence
  • Minimum age of 18

When is the opportunity available?

We are looking for volunteers for evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and all day Saturdays.

About the organisation

We are an independent local charity that helps young people under 25 with any issues or problems they are experiencing. The Basement is a safe, secure environment and offers some stability and guidance to young people.
