Cinema Superstar

Fairfield Village Community Association

Description of the role

Become a Fairfield flicks volunteer:

Fairfield Flicks only exists because of our amazing volunteers. They’re a friendly bunch of people who are passionate about their community, working hard to put on some amazing film entertainment.

Some of our volunteers work full time; some are at college whilst others are retired.

Our volunteers help deliver a Community Cinema experience; front of house, selling refreshments, and tidying our venue after each film screening. Some volunteers help with marketing and other important tasks.

What’s the commitment?

All we ask is that you give what you can. We give you the dates, you tell us your availability, and we will try and do our best to schedule you for a film that you would like to see.

Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Hall 30 minutes before each film commences, so that we are set up and ready to greet our customers

“Try before you buy”

Why not come along and see what we do – there’s no commitment.

Activities include:

  • Meeting & Greeting the audience
  • Selling Refreshments/Alcohol
  • Marketing
  • Tidying the venue

We’re looking for a committed, enthusiastic and friendly individual, who will help deliver the cinematic experience we are seeking to achieve and is willing to offer the personal touch that helps bring people together to create a stronger community and reducing social isolation & loneliness.

Practical Considerations

  • The roles are voluntary and open to all, we will consider your requirements and the job that needs doing. There are no expenses, the reward is being part of a great team that makes a difference. Due to the location of the venue (Fairfield village hall) volunteers must consider their own transport arrangements as public transport is limited.

Any specific requirements

  • Own vehicle or access to vehicle
  • Minimum age 18.

Where is the opportunity based?

Fairfield Village Hall, Stourbridge Rd, Fairfield B61 9LZ

When is the opportunity available?

The role is available on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, and Sunday evenings.
