This year we are helping run the Census!
What is the Census?
The census is a survey that happens every 10 years and gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales. The census took place on Sunday 21 March 2021.
Your answers to the census questions will help organisations make decisions on planning and funding public services in your area, including transport, education and healthcare.
Delivering the Census during the pandemic
Our Census Support Centre will help with general census queries, help you to fill in your online census or paper form, and discuss other ways to support you. However, due to Covid this will be a digital-first census, which means that we will be encouraging people to respond online if they can. You will be able to complete the census using any device, including your mobile phone or tablet.
If you need help, we’ve got it covered. We can offer help from our Centres in Bromsgrove and Redditch by phone, virtual support or face to face.
Face to Face Support
As restrictions have eased, we are offering face to face help where office Covid screens are set up to follow the correct guidelines and keep everyone safe. You must call first to book an appointment with a set time so we are prepared and we can therefore limit visitors to the office. After each visit the facilities will be cleaned to maintain a safe environment and reduce the chance of Covid spreading.
