If you’re not aware of it, Connecting Families is intended to bring together agencies all over Worcestershire to improve services for children and families. Its pilot project is being developed in Redditch with a £600,000 government grant. It is meant “to develop a whole system approach to overcome the challenges that prevent/delay positive outcomes for children and families.” – families in this case being the broader definition of families, of any age.
There is a Connecting Families event on the 22nd April from 9.15am to 2pm at Worcestershire Cricket Club. Aimed at Leaders and Strategic/Senior Officers from across Worcestershire, it will be the chance to hear the learning from the early adopter work in Redditch. Places are limited though.
